The Virgin Birth of Love

"Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh."
— Genesis 2:24

This verse is is a divine formula for creation through spiritual puritythe virgin birth of a new identity.

Leaving Father and Mother

To Neville, "father" and "mother" represent more than parents. They symbolise the world’s moulds — your inherited beliefs, traditions, race, culture, class, religion, upbringing — the outer causation that once formed your sense of self.

To leave them is to cut the psychic umbilical cord — to become psychologically pure. This is the virgin state: not touched by past impressions or outer instruction.

You no longer say, “I AM this because they said so,” or “This is how the world works because I was taught so.” You become still and empty. A pure womb. The Immaculate Conception is this moment: when the soul no longer looks outward for identity, but inward — to imagination.

To Cleave to His Wife

The "wife" here is not a person — she is your ideal, the assumed state you wish to unite with. In biblical symbolism, the feminine always represents the receptive, subconscious mind. To cleave unto her is to fuse with the feeling of the wish fulfilled.

You and your inner vision become one flesh — indistinguishable, inseparable.

This union is the true act of generation, and it is entirely internal. No outer father or mother plays a part. This is the virgin birth — creation from the purity of assumption, untouched by external logic.

"Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God." -Luke 1:34-35

They Shall Be One Flesh

The result of this union is a new embodiment. A change of state. A rebirth. The man who has left mother and father, cleaved to the inner wish, and become one flesh with it, gives birth — not by effort, but by assumption fixed.

This is Jesus born of a virgin — the Word made flesh through the simple act of imagining and believing in its reality.

In Summary

This is the mystery hidden in plain sight:
Every time you imagine and feel yourself to be something new — and persist in that union — you are experiencing the virgin birth of Christ within you.
