God — The Way

Solomon, the Temple, and the Kingdom Within

The Bible is not describing events occurring in external space or historical time. It is not presenting scenes to be watched or characters to be observed. Everything in Scripture unfolds within the consciousness of the reader.

This is why the story of Solomon is not about an ancient monarch building a structure in Jerusalem. It describes the moment when the inner kingdom becomes established and consciousness builds a place where identity and authority dwell together.

When read structurally, Solomon represents a developed state of awareness — the state that builds the temple within.

Solomon — The State of Established Wisdom

The name Solomon is associated with peace, completion, and ordered rule. Within consciousness, this represents the state where the governing identity has stabilised and wisdom begins to organise experience.

The narrative therefore moves from identity being chosen to identity building a dwelling place.

The Temple — Consciousness Becoming a Dwelling

The temple Solomon builds is not merely architecture. Structurally, it represents the moment when awareness becomes a stable dwelling for the ruling identity.

The temple symbolises:

  • Inner alignment
  • Organised awareness
  • The recognition that authority and identity share the same space

Instead of scattered impulses governing experience, consciousness becomes structured. The kingdom is no longer unstable — it now has a centre.

Kingdom and Temple — Two Aspects of the Same Reality

The Bible often speaks about the kingdom and the temple separately, but structurally they describe the same development.

  • The kingdom represents rulership within consciousness
  • The temple represents the dwelling place of that rulership

Solomon therefore marks the point where rulership is not only declared but fully established.

Jesus Walking in Solomon's Portico

In the New Testament, the Gospel records that Jesus walks in Solomon’s Portico.

This detail is rarely noticed, yet structurally it is precise.

The portico belongs to the temple Solomon built. When Jesus walks there, the narrative shows the fully embodied identity moving within the structure established earlier.

  • Solomon builds the temple
  • Jesus walks within it

The sequence reveals continuity in the inner kingdom: the dwelling is established, and the realised identity now inhabits it.

The Kingdom Within

When the Bible describes kings, temples, and kingdoms, it is not presenting external power structures. It is revealing how consciousness becomes organised under a ruling identity.

Solomon represents the state where that organisation becomes complete enough to build a dwelling place for the ruling self.

Once the temple is established, the kingdom is no longer theoretical. It becomes lived reality within awareness.

The temple is not somewhere you go. It is the place consciousness becomes when identity is fully established.
